DEBJIT BOSE
Stenographer at
(Ministry of Communication)
I am very much glad to share with you that I have been selected stenographer (Grade D) in Ministry of Communication in SSC Steno Exam 2018.
My path to success wasn't easy rather it was fully bed of thrones because I belong to a very middle class family, no one was there in a Government Job as well as economically established. After completing graduation as well as my Master in Commerce I started to prepare for Bank (Po/Clerical) exam but I had not cleared the hurdles of Interview round at the final stage so many times and was not sure how to shape my career through this type of difficult banking exam afterwards I started preparing for SSC and Bank exams simultaneously though my main focus is on Ssc Stenographer as I reached my age ceiling of 25 years. We all know that the age relaxation is allowed by SSC for General candidate is 27 years only so I had very little time. The main hindrance in my path was me not being so good at mathematics that wants modern day banking papers cracked. On repetition of failure, one day some of my close friends and mostly mention my girlfriend (Sanjukta Shee) advised me to give stenographer exam a try as it seems to me written of Stenographer exam is very easy (2015-2017) because I had already cleared so many banking prelims and mains in my previous attempts.
Without wasting anymore time I started taking classes for shorthand from my Institute namely Sheoraphuli Steno-Typing Shorthand Institute and also put lot of efforts by practicing Pitman Shorthand book repeatedly with the help of my Girlfriend who is also working as a Stenographer in CBDT (SSC-2015 Batch) and side by sidetry to manage some time to solve some of SSC based mock test such as Kiran, MB Publication etc.. After that I completed the remaining shorthand theory on my own with the help of my Steno Sir as well as Sanjukta Shee, improved my weak areas for CBT and in a span of 5 months, I was done with the shorthand concepts. The next step was attaining speed for which I browsed the YouTube for speed classes, attained daily basis coaching speed class and Rakesh sir's video caught my eye. After that I started writing dictations given by Rakesh sir as well as some useful recording made by my Institute's Sir, Shri. Anshuman Guha Majumdar and was able to attain a decent speed of 100 wpm with much accuracy just within a period of 5 months. From Dec 2016 to Sept 2017 I was able to take dictation with 100 wpm along with decent accuracy and I had cleared the first exam of CISF Stenographer in Oct 2017 both written and skill within 8 months since my shorthand journey started. The best thing in Likho Steno Academy's video is that you get dictation at three different speeds in one video which increases anyone's speed in very less time and also worthless is that the voice of matter , crystal clear sound as same as which was dictated in Exam hall.
Likho Steno Academy channel and telephone conversation with Rakhesh Sir helped me at every stage. The guidance of Rakesh sir whatever it be how to increase my speed or how to fill the preference form and last but not the least..his amazing dictations helped me immensely in clearing the skill test of both Grade C and D in SSC Stenographer 2018 with the mistakes margin of 4% and 3% respectively but unfortunately couldn't meet the cut off of Gr. C with very low shortfall.
My Girlfriend (Sanjukta Shee) and My Sir Shri. Anshuman Guha Majumdar also helped me greatly by giving me dictations daily and motivated every stage of my life when I was a job seeker as well as little bit depressed for not clearing the final round of exam.
At last thank you so much Rakesh along with others for their valuable guidance/ mental support and the efforts they put in for any students like me
