As soon as I completed my 12th grade, I set my sights on a remarkable goal - clearing the SSC Stenographer exam. Determined to make my dream a reality, I immersed myself in rigorous preparation.
After rigorous days and nights of self-study, I successfully cleared the written exam. However, the real test of my resilience came during the skill test. I prepared for my skill test from basics to high level through the LSA YouTube channel, which greatly helped improve my speed and accuracy.
When I went to take the skill test, my hands were trembling as I began writing, and the dictation caught me completely off guard. Despite the unexpected challenge, I persevered and gave my best. However, later on, it turned out that the test was canceled due to some technical issues.
Then, I decided to join Rakesh sir's paid batch, albeit for a short period, but it was incredibly beneficial. The environment there was similar to that of exam-center, and it significantly reduced my hesitation.
I gave my skill test again but to my dismay, the test got canceled again after a month. I felt disheartened and overwhelmed with depression. However, My family and friends support me and I decided to muster the strength and began preparing once more. It was undoubtedly the toughest phase of my life, and my health took a toll. Nevertheless, I persevered and never lost hope. With unwavering determination, I conquered my hesitation and fears, eventually overcoming all obstacles. Finally, I emerged victorious, clearing both grades with flying colors.
Sharing this part of my journey is essential because I want everyone to recognize that mental health along with physical health should never be overlooked or neglected. By including mindfulness practices like yoga and meditation in our lives, we can cultivate a healthy mindset and build resilience to face life's challenges with a positive outlook.
I am immensely proud to share that my determination and hard work paid off when I received the news of my selection in the Central Secretariat(DoPT). What made this achievement even more special was that I became the youngest person to attain it.
My friend Anu was also a constant pillar of support, providing invaluable assistance and motivation. With her help, and the backing of my family, I navigated the study materials, tackled practice tests, and kept my spirits high during moments of self-doubt.
And also thanks to my friends Manish & Puja and Vipul (my brother) for the right guidance and Akash, my steadfast companion, heartfelt thanks for being by my side through thick and thin and my shorthand teacher(Rakesh sir)
