The Examination of Computer Bases Examination (Tier I) for SSC Stenographer Grade C & D Exam, 2018 was held from 05-02-2019 to 08-02-2019 at various centres in different cities of the country.
As per the result of Written Examination, the number of candidates shortlisted for Stenography Skill Test were 9956 & 12893 for Grade C & D respectively. The Regional Offices of Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducted the Stenography Skill Test and it was held in the months of November and December, 2019.
Keeping in view of trend of Final Selection we can see a jump of 8-10 marks in Final Cutoff in each category in Grade C and in Grade D also there can be a jump of 10-12 marks. However, it is also informed that Grade C has different criteria of selection than Grade D. Candidates from other categories except Unreserved have to qualify in some more levels. They should qualify for Age Criteria, Mistake Percentage and Marks in Written Examination as well. If a candidate qualifies in all these according to Unreserved standards then only he/she will get selected in Unreserved. As it is clear from the trend that competition is increasing year after year. One important point to be noted here that candidates called for Skill Test in Grade C are more than double in comparison to 2015. The big reason behind it is number of vacancies in Grade C are more than 3 times as compared to 2015. But, the competition is increasing and there is clear jump of 6-7 per cent in percentage of qualified candidates. According to the number of vacancies there will be selection of only 473 candidates but the number of qualified candidates will be 896 which is also mentioned in the above Figure.
It is also intimated that Dates for Written Examination of SSC Stenographer Grade C & D, 2019 have also been announced. Candidates are advised to work hard and study as much as they can because the level of written exam may be as usual (Easy to Moderate). When the exam is of easy to moderate level, candidates score more than 160 easily and then competition gets really tough. So, your preparation should be good and your first target should be to score at least 150 marks in Written Examination so that you can secure a seat for you.
