How To Increase Shorthand Speed Part 2
So you have completed fist 2 Volumes at 70 words per minute. Now we will start Volume 03 but speed will be different. You need to complete just Volume no. 03 at 80 words per minute. Rest will be the same. Five times 1 transcription which will obviously be seen matter for you. Then its dictation at 80 words per minute and mistake calculation. Remember, you don't need to make a different copy for hard words or phrases. If you practice with the way I am telling you, you will remember all phrases without writing them on a separate copy. It is very boring and time consuming.
Once you complete Volume 03 you are ready to take unseen dictations. Volume 04 will be different now. The pattern of homework will change. You need to take dictation of Transcription 1 of Volume 04 but this time speed will not be 80 words per minute, it will be 70 words per minute because it will be an unseen dictation for you. A lot of students go through with the tough words from a Transcription which is really bad and leads you to fail. Your real test is with you not with anyone else. So you have taken your first unseen dictation. Read it and calculate your mistakes and take its dictation at 70 words per minute till you find 0 mistakes and trust me this time it will be easy for your because now it has become seen for you.

The next step is you need to practice transcription 01 of Volume 04 (whose unseen dictation you took at 70 words per minute). The pattern of practice will be same 5 times copying from Magazine. At the time, which you have fixed for taking dictations, you need to take its dictation at 80 words per minute because you have already taken its unseen dictation at 70 words per minute. I am telling you will write it smoothly because you have done it unseen as well as seen and in this process you have written it for more than 6 times. Reading is must of all.
Follow this same process till you finish total 07-08 volumes. Once you are done with all fist 8 volumes you don't need to write dictations for 5 times a day. You will take unseen dictations now. If you find a matter difficult then you will take its dictation for 5 times but not copy it from magazine because there is no need to waste time anymore.

Now it is your choice how many volumes of Kailash Chandra you will finish but I recommend at least 10 should be completed before moving to any other kind of dictations. There are a number of dictations which have been provided by Likho Steno Academy on its YouTube channel. Kailash Chandra, G.D. Bisht, President's Speeches, Prime Minister Speeches, Editorials, Legal Dictations, Previous Year Dictations of 2016, 2017 and 2018.You don't have to roam anywhere in search of dictations. All you need is dedication and honesty if you want to do hard-work according to me because even a labour on roadside does hard-work, you need to do Smart-Hard-Work.
This technique is time consuming but very simple to follow. I hope you will follow this technique and it will give you results. Many of my students have achieved success with this technique and you will also.
